La Escala Sites
Has anyone stayed in the La Escala area in Spain? We know the area well but only as fly/car hire people. Now we have a Motorhome we would like to return to the area for a longer stay if there is a suitable site in the area. Many thanks

We are regular visitors to Camping Las Dunas, just outside L'Escala - pricey, but a great site. Other sites close-by, between L'Escala and Sant Pere Pescador are C.Bllena Alegre, C.Aquarius, and C.L'Amfora, to name but a few, and all very popular. Some accept
ACSI and/or Camping Cheques, although Las Dunas definitely doesn't.0 -
We used to stay at Las Dunas but it is very pricey. Much better is La Amfora just a bit further north (2 sites) it takes Camping cheques in the low season so only costs £14.95 a night for 2 persons car and caravan or motorhome. We stayed there last year
twice, the site is large with very big pitches, it is on the beach and there is a cycle path where you can ride all the way to and beyond Las Dunas going into La Escala. The facilities are the best we have ever had on any site in any country. You can also
pay to have very good Wifi (not expensive) where you could if so wish stream british tv using Filmon. The site next door is Aquarius, they take ACSI in low season, IMO its not as nice and roomy as La Amfora and in October last year when they had heavy rain the site flooded badly and many vans did not make it off.
