RV to Brittany

We are planning a trip to Brittany in August in a 'small' RV.  In the UK we have to book on to hard standing pitches but France doesn't seem to have these.

Does anyone have any advice on staying in France with an RV.  We have a 5 year old girl and just want to stay in a simple site by a beach - the big waterslide parks and entertainment aren't really us - but will the smaller sites be able to cater for a 5.5
tonnes RV?

Any campsites suggestions welcome also!
