Temporary Path to/from awning door?

Last time we were away (3 weeks ago) we had 4 wet days/nights on the trot leaving the grass to and from the awning door like a muddy trench. We managed to overcome it to some extent by swaping things around in the awning and using a doorway on the oposite
side but even that started to muddy up fairly quickly.

So given the unpredictable british weather I want to be better prepared next time by putting down some sort of temporary pathway. I am sure others have already done this and there is a ready made product out there but I dont know what to search under. I
am thinking maybe a roll out rubber matting with holes in it or something like that?
