Wifi Booster

I'm not sure which section to put this question in. I know sometime in the best a discussion took place on external antennae to boost wifi signal when on sites. I've searched for it without result!

I've been in Maplins this morning and they such a thing doesn't exist. Can someone give me details of these and from which stores they may be purchased. Thanks.
