CL Description
Who writes the Cl description for the club website. Are they written by the Cl owner or the site inspector.
How accurate do you expect them to be?
Just looking for a Cl in the Dorset area and came across and adults only one. Reading through the blurb at the prices I was amazed to see" Children 2 - 13yrs £2".

Harry, I believe that the club's CL dept send an e-mail to the CL owners showing what they intend to print in the site directory and it's up to the owners to proof read and approve. I suppose in the first instance that the owners submit what they want printing
by way of directions and site facilities etc.0 -
I once had the misfortune to fall foul of this scenario. Booking what was advertised as an Adult only site only to find there was a large family gathering taking place. The club and myself got involved with the cl owner to sort things out. I was satisfied
with the outcome but a short while later the cl disappeared from the network.At least I have spotted this one before I book which I now wont.
It's a pity certain things in the handbook aren't proof read to stop basic errors like this

If I recall correctly (and it was 7 or more years ago) I think the original Site Inspector (from the Club) drafted the entry. Since then we have added a few facilities so we have updated the entry via the CL department, but the directions and overall description
were from the Inspector. I think this is the correct way of approaching it as they can provide an objective assessment. However it is up to the CL owner to keep it up to date and for the CL Inspector to check it on his/her (unnanounced) annual inspection.0 -

Clearly hasn't happened in this case.

Somewhat true Blue but with such a simple situation of one cl, one owner and one inspector it shouldn't be to difficult to put things right to make the entry as it should be. After all that is probably the main reason for the site entry. To inform
