4x4 own rules

is it me or am l being bias, when we have been travelling   to our destination on any motorway with the speed limit of 60 mile per hour when towing which we know is the legal limit how come 4x4 go at speeds way above the limit. l know they can do these speeds
but so can we. but prefer to keep at the correct speed and also reduce the fuel consumption as well .
