Advice needed re waxing van

The other half has been trying to give our Lancashire a wax but the drivers side has been left with circular smears that we cannot get rid of??? What are we doing wrong? We used mer polish and on the passenger side it's ok?? How are we to get rid, should
we  use a t.cut to take them out then try a polish again?

saw a video for a product called "Vistal" any ideas if this is ok to use on the paintwoRK
