What 4x4 would you buy next.

OK i understand that a lot of people don't like 4x4 because the thing there to expensive to run etc.

But i currently own a 2007 Q7 and I'm now looking to change,i test drove a Disco 4 Special edition today really nice but i felt it was a bit high driving position feels like it would be a great tow car but id really like somthing a bit smaller as we use
it everyday around town as well,I'm testing the Range-rover Sport HSE black edition on Friday,but what other cars would you all recommend test driving. We do a lot of miles 15000 min a year and 7 seat is not needed but do come in handy,we also have a dog and
the cage needs to fit in the boot,all suggestions are welcome thanks in advance.
