We all wonder if we could have done better if we had done something else. If we had though we might have had a disaster but it is nice to dream although if I had the money to buy that my other half would say a world cruise.

Write your comments here...very nice, but where would you park it while away ? End up having to tow a small car as well, better off with a panel van conversion....nice to dream though.

Southdown Motorhomes have them in stock WITH a Smart Car in the back. No need to tow. Mind you don't think I would be happy trying to get something that size down some of the lanes we have found around Exmoor this year. I know they look good but are they practical. You can hardly stop on a quiet road in one of those and just imagine trying to find a parking space ...

Like to see him try and reverse it when Dashboard Doris takes him down a narrow lane ...

These monsters are really nice but totally impractical IMHO. Ok for a racing circuit but don't think you will get on a CC Site they are just to big.

We have seen several on CC sites.....Black Horse Farm,  Alderstead Heath, and Ferry Meadows to name a few.

They all have small cars as well, some even háve additional box trailers.  Possibly full-timers.

Lovely if you need a home from home, but not exactly practical for touring.

The other thing is that despite being the size of a medium sized coach, they still generally only accomodate two people, albeit in opulent luxury.

I'd like to see one trying to get onto some of the sites and pitches in France!  They are very nice and luxurious, no doubt about it, but also a bit limited in where they can go.

And no, I'm not jealous, I really wouldn't want something that size.

    ...yes, albeit....Wink

i like the outside styling but, for some reason, the interiors dont really strike me.....might be the colour of the cabinets, not sure..

yes, most are on the large side, but the range starts with vans in the 7.5m region, so no larger than many an average van, but perhaps a little taller and the large coach-style windscreen makes them look a bit imposing.....

    jealous...?

not really....the Morelo looked nice at the NEC, if i wanted 'large' (and won the lottery) that would do nicely...

however, with a lottery win, would i want to be on a campsite with the 'hoi-polloi'?Laughing

Concorde motorhomes are built to last. Buy it through a business and it will save some money. Use it tour the continent for long periods and suddenly it becomes attractive. As to roads, then a few PSV lessons will help. Recently watched a video of a Hymer
going over the Kirkstone Pass and at least two coaches came the other way.

Sent 3 days next to one of these Morelo's. I wish I was into taking photos as one day I found the couple looking into their cassette Loo, the top hatch was stuck. I said to them "£300K and  you still have to empty the loo". They where a realy nice couple and we had a great time together. The photo would have had a caption "which of you threw your wedding ring in there".

I suspect that a lot of owners of these very expensive motorhomes buy them on credit.......which most of us could do, if we wanted something approaching the size of a house mortgage, but on a depreciating asset, hung around our neck.

You're right Ian. I am perfectly happy with my c'van and what I have. As my old dad used to say' what other people have lad is no concern of yours!' It a good philosophy for life- stops you turning yourself inside out with caravan envy!!

We do not do jealous either. We are happy with what we have, a decent car and caravan, not the best available but they suit us. The one thing that did make me really jealous was a house, not the building but the view over the Solway Firth, to me that was
    worth more than money.

we are brainwashed by our economic system until we end up in a tomb beneath a pyramid of time payments, mortgages, preposterous gadgetry, playthings that divert our attention for the sheer idiocy of the charade.

The years thunder by, The dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed.
