Pitches that shouldn't really be pitches
My second CC site was Hillhead in Devon and i think its fantastic and plan to go back many times.
But i was on pitch 215 which was 100% my choice because i wanted to be next to my friend in his motorhome who had pitch 214 reserved. But being new to caravaning i soon found out that my legs would not reach the ground at the rear due to the gradent of the
slope.I had to walk around to find tree stumps/large stones to support my van.( i later went to get some cut wood the next day).
it was around 1ft of wood i needed to reach the ground with my legs fully extended, later on another 2 vans came on pitch 216 and 217 they also had wood but not enough to reach the ground,on 216 you cannot even reverse into it because my van and awning is
in the way,we all went to help him push it up the hill assisting his mover.Surly pitches like this should either be made more level or 2 pitchs in this area so you can use your car and wood made avalable at recption. The pitches 214 to 211 are hard standing
and leveled but its like they just forgot to level the corner.
