Fiat Ducato common problem or not

Hi, we have an Autotral M/H, (Based on th Fiat Ducato). When ever it rains or I wash the M/H there is a build up of water in the black plasic trough (not sure what it's called) that runs along the bottom of the wind screen. There is a drainage hole on the
drivers side, but not on the passanger side. Has anyone done a "mod" to stop this from happening or is it a design fault that people put up with?
