Unknown Socket

We've only had a second hand 1993 Swift Capucinno 2 berth caravan for a couple of weeks and I've been trying to work out how everything works. But this socket next to the toilet door access mystifies me.

Anyone knows what this may be and what its use is?

I'm suspecting a 12 v outlet at the moment.
