Reserving a pitch when making a booking

Why doesn't  the club allow us to reserve a pitch when we make a reservation, as it is at the moment it is unfair to families and people who work on fridays, by the time we get to the site all the retired and non working people have taken the best pitches
just because they can get there at 11.59am ready to go on at 12 noon. If I can be bothered to organise where we want to go when the bookings open in December then we should be able to reserve a pitch!!!!
