Hotels that take caravans for overnight stopover

We are travelling to Italy in June and due to having our grandson with us this year and only having a two birth caravan (he will be sleeping in a awning bedroom when we get there) we need to find a hotel with a car park that will take our outfit that is
located about the halfway point of the journey for example near Mannheim. Has anyone done this ?
