Travelling to Spain over Christmas

I am thinking of travelling with caravan to Northern Spain for Christmas and new year with my wife and two German Shepard dogs. My only concern is what will the weather condiditions normally be like whilst travelling as we have never driven that far with
the caravan and the dogs.  Any comments and recommendations for campsites as we are looking for better weather conditions but still have a Christmas meal
