4 Vents closed Oct half term

Hi, I'm after a little advise regarding Disney at Oct half term please:

I would like to take our kids to Disney Paris for my 40th birthday, we have been to DLP before but not camping. It would be our first trip abroad with the van, so I thought we would play it safe and go with the CC recommendation of 4 Vents...however looking at the site it closes on the 31st Oct and our half term is w/c 27th Oct. That would make our week rather short and not sure I fancy changing sites for a couple of nights. When do the French kids have holidays?

Is it worth going all that way for 6 nights? 

Any other advise re ferries  etc would be great too.
