13 pin trailing socket on towcar

Hi - Can anyone answer this question?

The issue is that it dowsn't seem possible to fit a 13 pin socket to a 2010 Range Rover Sport and still get the rear bumper cover on to hide the socket and towing ring. A 13pin trailing socket rather than a fixed socket would tuck out of the way behind the
cover.

Is it OK to fit a 13 pin trailing socket on a towcar?
