Sites close to the Med

We are planning a trip through France and possibly Spain to the Med coast,this July and are looking for smaller quiet sites. Most seem to be large And very family orientated with lots of facilities which we don't want. How do we sift out the  ones that might
appeal? Perhaps somebody could suggest actual sites near the coast from roughly Sete to the Spanish border and a bit beyond.
