Fixed bed or not

Having just bought  a fixed bed model in the summer it surprises  me to read that fixed beds are not selling as good as they used to.I love my fixed bed ,yes you do lose a bit of space but the chore of having to make the bed up at night was a nightmare,
what do you think about the decline of the fix bed?
