You'll end up using Win 10 at some point.  You might as well do it now while the upgrade is free.

It might even be that this leads to free Windows updates in future to.

I've found it to be fine.

I put it off for as long as possible, perfectly happy with Win 7, but eventually accepted the inevitable and let it happen.

Works well enough, and might be a tad faster, even as an 'upgrade', rather than as a clean install. Plenty of advice out there about privacy options.

I'm on BT Infinity, and have not noticed any performance  issues with large downloads occurring in the background.

I did late last week , Just had to install a file that was missing before doing the install , Did do a custom install and not a express . Microsoft seem to want to know everything . So i prevented that . works fine apart from wanting a pass word to logon
. It kept al my files and photos and programs , there were a few notification to update program versions so that they were compatable with 10 . In a word no problem , I did do a system image to a remote hard drive just in case .

Since the  free win10  upgrades are coming to an end,

Just downloaded win 10 and upgraded my win7 laptop to win 10 today. Set up the network and the network printer, everything seem OK so far.

Obviously did a custom upgrade and rejected any feedback to Microsoft.

I let one pc upgrade to 10 just to have a look, it is a toy not an operating system, if you use a PC as a work tool don't touch it with a barge pole it is c****
