French Med coast site needed

Looking for a site on French Med coast for mid - end August any region considered but beach and town within very short walk,(preferably on doorstep) would be the main criteria, child, dog facilities not required just adult friendly bars, restaurant, sunbeds
etc. All suggestions considered.   Many Thanks  FF
