Red Pennant/other European breakdown cover

I have priced up various European breakdown cover insurance policies for our car and caravan for our summer trip to France and cannot believe the price of it.  I am getting quotes for a 14 day holiday of between £130 and £160!!! 

 

We already have a personal family worldwide travel insurance policy which will cover us for sickness and cancellation and loss of luggage/belongings which costs us over £100 a year so by the time we have purchased the vehicle/caravan cover we will have paid
£250 for insurance alone which is another 50% on top of the cost of the holiday.  Am I doing something wrong?
