South of France best Ferry route?

Hi all

We are taking the motorhome down to the pyrinees region of France in late June/early July and we are just trying to work out what the best ferry route would be. Would it be better to get the ferrry to say St Malo and drive down or get the ferry to Spain
and drive into France. On the way home we will be driving up to either Cherbourg or St Malo as we want to take our time and have a few weeks exploring the Atlantic coast.

Any advice much appreciated
