Making the bailey ranger bed?

Hi there, I'm new to caravaning and have just purchased a 2003 bailey ranger 550/6. When making the main bed is it possible to remove the draws from the front of the van to make the bed bigger? It looks like it should but I have a habit of breaking things
and didn't want to force it. Any help would be appreciated.
