I did start a discussion on knee pads somewhere, but I don't seem to be able to locate it at the moment.

After a knee replacement and subsequent difficulty in kneeling, I seriously wnndered about getting some knee pads, basically to make it possible 'to assist my wife' in knocking in the awning pegs.

After a visit to my local Planters Garden Centre, I changed tag a little bit and bought a foldaway garden kneeler, for the princely sum of £9.99.  Not only does it have a much needed pad for kneeling, but if offers me help in getting up, after having plucked up the courage to kneel in the first place.

It packs fairly flat:

...folds out for use as a kneeler:

...and if you get fed up of kneeling down, you can sit down at the job.

It appears to be a solution, but I guess only time will tell.  The worst scenario is that it's only cost me £9.99.

Has anyone used such a contraption, and how sucessful did you find it?
