Site Reviews

After nearly 20 years of Club membership and towing a caravan, we changed to a motorhome last year. We don't believe in towing a car behind it, and as we have a dog, cycling isn't an option either. However, although well into our 70's, we can still manage
a few walks up to about 6-8 miles.

With this in mind we think that when motorhome owners choose to review a site, they should prioritise on whether the site is suited to their needs. We accept that The Handbook gives brief details of bus stops, walking routes etc. but a more specific opinion
would be valuable, especially as we note that motorhomes often account for 1/3 of the pitches.

Quite frankly, nearly all site reviews primarily waffle on about how wonderful & friendly the wardens are, and how clean the facilities are. We don't go away to befriend the wardens, and I doubt they have time to befriend us either. In all our years we can't
remember facilities that aren't up to acceptable standards. This is why we appreciate The Club.

So let's start reading some really useful & practical reviews, and we ourselves will set the ball rolling and do just that on behalf of other motorhomers from now on.
