Stops on M6, M42 & M5

Hi There,

Heading down to Brecon at the week-end from Norfolk.  Our route will be A14, M6, M42 & M5.  Will need to make a breakfast stop.  Am looking for any recommendations for Motorway stops/just off Motorway stops around Solihull?

I note there is a large Tesco near Notcutts just off the M42 at Solihull - has anybody used this with a car and van? - will I be able to get in/out OK (is there a hight restriction barrier) I'm 2.6m high.  I do not like using Motorway stops where you have
to park with the lorries etc, as these areas tend to smell of wee and are a bit hairy trying to get 2 young kids across the lorry park while dodging the Scania's.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.
