Is a canopy an awning or not an awning?

Hi. I'm looking for some advice about what sort of pitch I should book.  We have a motorhome with a wind out Fiamma awning but no sides.  Should I continue to book a pitch with an awning or a non awning pitch when visiting club sites? Thanks.
