Racecourse sites

I know there are several 'racecourse sites' on the CC network.  In the past, when I've been to racecourse sites (Uttoxeter and Warwick), I've never felt quite as 'comfortable' - nothing I can really put my finger on.  I don't have any interest in horseracing
and have often felt that the sites are very much of the 'we've got a spare bit of land so we'll have a caravan site' type. 

Although our use of these type of sites is limited, is there anyone else who feels the same way.  If not, what do you find attractive about them.  Perhaps particular sites?
