Speeding ticket ?

Hi, l wondered whether anyone would know the answer to this or not. But we've had a really lovely day visiting the medieval cite at Carcassonne. And on  the way home my partner was driving our car when suddenly this sign flashing red saying whatever speed
you should be doing and what he was doing ( which would not have been fast as he's a careful driver) and it showed a minus sign with the words two points. I know it might be a silly question but is that a speeding fine or a warning? . If so we can expect something
in the post when we get home. Sue
