Many of us use mobiles while we are away from home, but this can become expensive, even with the all inclusive packages.  Many companies, such as banks, insurance companies etc cheekily use the premium rate 0500, 0800, 0808, 0842, 0843, 0844, 0845, 0870,
0871, 0872, 0873 numbers, which usually are not included in your 'all inclusive' mobile, or even home phone minutes.

To avoid this, I always use the SAY NO TO 0870 website
HERE
, or directly to the search page
HERE
.  It gives you lots of alternative numbers (01, 02, 03, and 0800 numbers) that come within normal inclusive minute tariffs.  It's worth a try if you need to call the bank while you are away etc.
