Converting your car to run on vegetable oil

Will all this talk of fuel cost, strikes and the like, I just windered ig anyone had took the plunge and converted their car to run on vegetable oil.

There is obviously a bit of an issue with regarding 'foodstuffs' to fuel a vehicle, but i wondered how easy it was to get used veg. oil and filter it.  Thought it would be a good idea to open a thread so we could all air this one properly.
