Problems with Toilet
Nearly typed subject as Toilet Problems but knowing the responses this would attract from some posters changed it!
On our recent holiday we were in Germany when one night I pushed the lever to open the slide to use the toilet, there was no resistance and the slide did not operate! This was at 11.30 pm and as we are both 'mature' could have been a major problem. 'Bucket and chuck it' over night and in morning head in space where cassette fits to solve problem. In case this happens to anyone else tthis is how I solved problem.
The lever operates a slide bar with ratchets on which should connect to a semi circle cog wheel which in turn operates the slide on the cassette all visible using a mirror - with me so far! The cog wheel had somehow slipped so that it was not catching on the ratchet bar. In centre of semi circle cog wheel there is a screw which I undid and was able to reposition the cog wheel so that it trurned when the lever was pulled. Problem solved and holiday could continue in peace.
