Belgium, Luxumbourg and Alsace

Hi,

Hoping to go to Belgium, Luxumbourg and Alsace in May/June.  We will be sailing to Dunkerkque.

Have been looking at two sites in Belguim about 100 - 150 Km from the port for the first nights stopover but it would mean that we have to negotiate the Lille Peripherique.  Is this a good idea!

Has anyone experience of this area?  Interesting things to see and do.  Nice sites, we do not need entertainment just a good area and nice dog walks.

Any advice please.
