winter tyres or wrangler mud & snow

I could do with other caravanners opinions. We have purchased a Landrover Freelander 2 to tow a Bailey Senator Arizona into France January / February,its fitted with Wrangler mud and snow tyres would it be prudent to have a second set of wheels fitted with
winter tyres or a waste of money?
