Mulhouse or Basel area suggestions please

Hi Guys we are looking to travel to Mulhouse region or even Basel. We are to spend three weeks in August so time is not an issue. We would like some advice on sites in that area or certainly down in the general area. We are a family of four the children
are 7 and 11.
