Trouble with Carver Truma P4 heater

Went out to the motorhome today and found it very damp inside due to this moist weather. Turned the heater on and it would not ignite. Tried it on first position, fan only, and the green light flashed in bursts of 6 pulses although the fan operated okay. 
I suspected damp on the printed circuits inside so I removed the inlet air hose and set up an electric fan heater to blow into it while the Carver fan circulated the air in the heater. After 20 minutes I switched the Carver off and on again and it ignited
no problem and has worked well for a couple of hours now. Thought I would share in case anyone else has this problem.
