Var / Frejus area in May -recommended sites please

After much discussion and research, family have finally voted to go East rather than West ( ....it's been a long debate!). Can't see many discussions about good sites closer to the coast In Var. There are plenty to choose from- so to narrow it down a bit
would appreciate any views on good places, close to beach, within walking distance of nice town/restaurants etc. Will take it easy going down (three nights) so favourable stopover site advice appreciated also. On a shuttle leaving 2.00 pm. Saturday at beginning
of May and will be away for 3 weeks.
