Route Napoleon - Spring 2016

We are thinking of taking the Route Napoleon, N85, from Grenoble to Cannes with our new 24 foot long caravan in late April, early May. We are used to towing a long (ish) caravan in France but this is a route with which we are unfamiliar.  Any thoughts fellow
travellers?  Good Campsites, narrow roads, steep hill climbs etc?   

We plan to visit St Paul, Cannes and Nice before heading off to stay for a bit longer near St Tropez as usual.
