Why do I have to pay for WIFI on Club sites?

I wonder why I have to pay for WIFI on club sites?  I, like many have a blackberry telephone to which I pay a monthly fee. I can generally access the internet throughout  the country so long as I am in a wifi hot spot or in a "3G" area.  One of the few places
I cannot access the internet are caravan clubs sites - I feel this is not in members interests?
