We're heading to Germany in September (first time there with a 'van, though we regularly go to France, Spain etc).  We're intending to stop 3 or 4 days at or near Rudesheim am Rhein on our way to the Black Forest.

There seem to be 2 sites there, Campingplatz Am Rhein which appears to be popular, possibly because it's a CC associate.  I've also found Campsite Geisenheim am Rhein, which is nearby and (on ACSI at least) gets better reviews.

I'd welcome opinions on which of these two might be best (we're a 'mature' couple with a dog, BTW) - or, indeed, if there are any other sites in the area worth considering.
