maximising storage

Hi everyone

 I have a Lunar Lexon and the storage cupboards in the kitchen area are very deep but very narrow making it difficult to store, and access items.  Has anyone any ideas for creating addition lightweight shelves - because of the design pull out shelving is not an option, and I can't seem to find long narrow baskets.
