Northern Spain and Portugal

My wife and I will be heading to Spain and Portugal this winter. We are considering travelling to Northern Spain, the Santillana Del Mar are ( close to Santander). Then onto Braga North Portugal. We would be grateful for any tips and advice about the area,
or campsites members have used.
