Day/utility tent on pitch

I understand that "pup" tents are allowed alongside, in my case, a motorhome within the confines of the pitch. Can anyone advise if it's ok to use a day tent, 3m x 3m, set up alongside my motorhome as an alternative to an awning.  Really would like the extra
space for grandkids to eat, play etc when raining and I don't want to buy if there is any doubt!

I've tried to get an answer from tech advice at the club but no reply.
