Camping in Spain in September to March 2014-2015

is it wise to pre book all camping sites for a long trip touring spain mainly east coast,or is there good pitch availability in winter months. i have camped in northen spain in 2008 for six months only on two sites.is turn up and pay a thing of the past
as it is in the UK .
