Advice for August site please!

Hi, we are after some recommendations for our annual August bank holiday break which we have done previously in a tent but now upgraded!

I'm bamboozled by the choice but was after some recommendations if you don't mind? Our main criteria are:-

1. Walk to beach, village / town, pubs or great public transport

2. Shop nearby, not an isolated site

We always go to Polmanter in St Ives and have been spoilt rotten here but I've decided we need to try places that we haven't been to before!

Currently we've booked Freshwater in Wales but I'm concerned it is a bit isolated. There is no mobile phone signal and we have 2 x teenagers! Plus we don't want to have to get in the car all the time.

Any advice is hugely appreciated, thanks!
