Towball height, 'van nose up

I'm a bit worried about the nose up attitude of my van and thought best to ask for the advice of more experienced caravaners:

My last van was a Hobby Presitge 560 which sat slightly nose down and towed very well.  Since then my circumstances changed quite dramatically so since getting back into caravaning I have a different car (Volvo V70 classic) and not quite as  ice a van (A
very well used Elddis XL).

I've not towed the Elddis any distance since bringing it home about a year ago but it's ready to go and we're off in a few weeks time.  However, this van sits slightly nose up which worries me as logically it can't be good for stability if air pressure is
catching under the front of the van?

I've measured the towball height and it seems well out of spec at approx 450mm from floor to centre of towball, albeit unladen.

According to Witter a lowering plate cannot be used with my towbar so I'm basically finding out what my options are and whether my concerns about the nose up attitude are justified or not.

If anyone has any experience, suggestions or advice then I'd be happy to listen.

many thanks
