    The German holidays are over and Saturdays are usually the worst days in summer. We drove Into Germany last Friday via Luxembourg and into Austria on Saturday with little delay albeit There were long queues going t'other way.

    Is Germany with its miles of road works and Italy with its new tunnel building spending all of Europes money? Certainly both having major infrastructure projects on the go.

    Our 2 biggest hold ups were just outside Frankfurt and going South around Stuggart.  Strangely we didn't have and border hold ups going into or out off Austria either by car or rail.  There were police on Salzburg station but they only walked along the platform
    and glanced through carriage windows
