Tips for touring Germany?

We are sailing to Dover, hopping across to Berlin, (with an overnight, maybe 2 stops) down to Bavaria (via Dresden) then over to the Black Forest and up again. We have three weeks. Anyone got any good campsite/ route suggestions? We have never travelled this way before, indeed, never been to Germany touring so advice greatly appreciated. Thanks
