Hard porch/step - is it an awning?

I am currently building a little light weight solid fold out porch, which acts as a step and an enclosed space for wet coats/boots etc (a porch in the true sense of the word)

It does not touch the floor, other than the two adjustable legs and is mostly aluminium and composit with a polycarbonate roof.

At less than 1m2 and for primarily winter weekend use, if I visit a club site, will it be classed as an awning / will I need an awning pitch?
